Preppy Madras

I am obsessed with madras. 

For those that don't know what madras is, 

it is a plaid patterned design (like this skirt I am wearing).

I wore this outfit 2 ways:

Look 1: I am wearing it with a green belt and espadrilles.

Look 2: I am wearing with a blue and white belt, sandals, hair STRAIGHT (yeah, I like my curly hair better...not a fan) and of course my Demoiselle Jeweled pearl necklace. 

A Palm Springs Wedding

I went to one of the best weddings I have ever been to last weekend. 

It was in Palm Springs at the ACE Hotel.

Mirror Monday Meets Beetlejuice Pants

I love trying new trends. 

However, some trends are not my style or don't look the best on me. 

Here is an example.

I have been dying to try the vertical black and white striped pants.

I tried them on and don't love them on me. 

I think with this style you need to be tall and skinny.

Don't get me wrong I am not dissing my bod, I just know I am more athletically built.
I DID however buy that green and white striped dress in the background.
I will be posting details on that soon.

Hela is such a cutie! I love my sister!

This girl knows how to dress, she has the most amazing clothes.

I love this outfit that she is wearing,

so simple, but very well put together.

Green and Tweed

I love tweed.

I wanted to make tweed wearable in the summer.

Pairing it with a bright color makes it ok I think?

I feel like I belong in Nantucket in this dress.

It has the perfect pin-up feel look in a classy nautical way.

I just found this site, looking for vintage bathing suits and I am obsessed.

I love vintage dresses, this dress just pulls all the stops for me.

Pretty buttons, nice fabric, and a good tight fit that shows my curves.
